Editorial Review for Lime – by Ephraim Mallery
In Short
This restaurant is anything but the rustic watering hole the term "cantina" might conjure. Its all-white walls, light-wood floors and snowy tablecloths are warmed by orange and yellow lights splashed throughout the dining area. The Nuevo Mexican-American meals here start with a complimentary shot of tequila served in half a lime. Appetizers include thick, fried wedges of flour tortillas with salsa. Entrees range from crispy chili rellenos to enchiladas stuffed with potatoes and onions.

I have been to the Larimer location a few times, including a birthday and an after work event and both times was really turned off by the just-turned-21-and-can-drink crowd that make up a majority of the clientele--or those 30-somethings that wish they were 21. The food is mediocre--nothing to write home about--though their chips and salsa which they bring to all the tables are really yummy. Their drinks are pretty good--my mojitos and gin and tonics were very strong which was a welcome change!! Overall, however, the restaurant turns into a tacky club at night with bad dj's and a crowd that is nothing short of obnoxious. I wouldn't rule out going again, but it is certainly not a restaurant/bar in Denver that I would recommend if you're going past 6pm, especially on a Fri or Sat.
Pros: OK if you're going for dinner, not ok if you're going at night, unless you like a tacky underage scene
Cons: the other patrons

My friends and I have been fans of Lime since it opened back in '01. The atmosphere is so nice, the prices are very reasonable, the bar and surrounding area is a great place to hang out with friends, and the drinks are amazing! I would suggest this place if you're searching for a nice atmosphere without the snobby staff and just wants to have a good time. Lime is a great place to bring out of town guests too!!!
Pros: Food, atmosphere, staff, drinks, location
